The Arctic Frontier

Into the

Arctic

Svalbards dramatic glaciers, frozen seas, and remote landscapes create an environment where exploration and science come together. This expedition brings together researchers, polar explorers, and leading institutional partners into the field to experience and study the Arctic firsthand.

Guided by renowned polar explorer Inge Solheim, and supported by research teams from NYU Langone Health, the University of Arizona, and the Space Prize Foundation, the expedition explores how humans adapt to extreme environments.

Through guided expeditions, scientific observation, and immersive exploration, participants gain a deeper understanding of one of the most extraordinary ecosystems on the planet while contributing to groundbreaking research in the Arctic.

Scientific Research Publications

The Arctic expedition contributes to ongoing research led by scientists from the University of Arizona and NYU Langone Health, studying how extreme polar environments affect sleep, circadian rhythms, and human physiology.

Data collected during the expedition will support the Xtreme Research study, examining how cold temperatures, isolation, and extended daylight impact human health and biological rhythms.
